Edna M. (Thompson) Patterson, 90, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 7:30 am at the Heritage House in Carthage, Illnois.
She was born February 1, 1919 in Lomax, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey and Martha Luella (Waterman) Thompson. On August 10, 1940 she married Harold Patterson in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1999.
Edna lived in the Dallas City area all her life. She graduated high school and was a member of the Dallas City First Christian Church. She was also a member of the quilting club and worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Patterson Auto Salvage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 daughters Karen Sue Patterson, and Sherry Rose Patterson Sparrow, five brothers and one sister.
Services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. and Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with James Oliver officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
