Abraham Brokaw, born at Moorefield, Harrison County, Ohio, unto Abraham and Lucy Brokaw. He became a cabinet maker, and was married in Senecaville, Guernsey Co., Ohio, to Tabitha Lawhead, b. Senecaville Ohio or in the state of Pennsylvania, a daughter of James and Harriet Laughead. Abraham and Tabitha lived in Senecaville, where he owned a furniture store. Abraham and Tabitha's son, Homer, later opened a grocery store in Abraham's furniture store on Mill Street in Senecaville.
