Funeral services for Minnie Lee Gray, 84, of Houston formerly of Antrim Community, were held Friday, February 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim Church with the Rev. John Barfield of Elkhart Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was held at the Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Hassell and Foster. Pallbearers were grandsons: Bill, Dan, John Wayne, Joe Gray, and David Brown, and son-in-law Bob Austin.
Mrs. Gray, the former Minnie Lee Green, was born December 28, 1888 in Houston County to E. M. Green, St., and Ann Green. She died February 1, 1973 at 7:30 a.m. in Houston.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Edward (Ed) Gray in March 1959 and one son, Victor Gray in December, 1960.
She spent most of her life in Anderson County.
She is survived by five sons: Elmo Little of Houston, Benny Gray of Tyler, Hubert Gray of LaPorte, John Lee Gray of Jacinto City and Wilbur Gray of Baytown; four daughters: Mrs. Leonidas (Mildred) Brown of Houston, Mrs. J. E. (Annie) Hensley of Dallas, Mrs. Bob (Evelyn Austin of Houston and Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Horlock of Houston; three brothers: Millard Green of Palestine, E. W. Green of Magnolia and Lawrence Green of Spring, Texas.
She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
