BRIGHAM CITY – Mitchell Ray Eyre, 60 passed away on November 22, 2013 with his family by his side.
Mitchell was born on December 8, 1952 in Spanish Fork, Utah a son of Golden Junior and Jean Eldridge Eyre.
He graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Weber State.
Mitch served his country in the Army.
He married his sweetheart Christine Butler on April 12, 1975 in Corinne.
Mitch was a member of the LDS church and had served as a Branch President in Germany, and had served as a Cub Master.
He loved football, basketball and all sports especially watching kids and grandkids play. Mitch had coached little league football for 25 years. Owned and operated Eagle Roller Rink, he loved his work and friends at DCMA.
Surviving are his wife Christine, 11 children: Matthew M. Eyre, James G. (Jerica) Eyre, Luke B. (Shantell) Eyre, Aaron W. (Alivia) Eyre, Annalie (Javier) Mendoza, Daniel B. (Amy) Eyre, Adam R. (Hazel) Eyre, Jared J. (Amber) Eyre, Caleb R, Eyre, Jonathan C. Eyre, and 17 grandchildren with one on the way. Also surviving are his siblings: Larry Eyre, Richard Eyre, Randy Eyre, Shelly Eyre, Norma Beach, Linda Barnhart and Kari Stanley.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanette Norman and daughter Deborah.
Special thanks to his siblings for their thoughtfulness and loving care throughout the past four months.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.
Friends and family may call on Monday, November 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with Military Honors Accorded.
