Rebecca Lyn Klein, 32 of Villa Park, Illinois,
formerly of Streamwood, was murdered Saturday, March 17, 2007.
Rebecca (Becky) was born April 4, 1974,
She was a 1992 graduate of Streamwood High School and 1996 graduate of Illinois State University with a B.A., in Recreational Therapy.
Rebecca was the Director of Activities for Range of Motion in Wheaton, Illinois.
A company that provides services, programs, and transportation for the disabled and seniors.
Rebecca spent the last year and a half creating a senior daycare program and facility which was only the first step of her vision.
In creating the senior daycare program, Becky’s ultimate goal was to develop a program that would allow geriatric and pediatric populations to benefit from each other. Her goal was achieved last Wednesday when clients of the child day care and senior day care participated in the opening day of the program.
She had a passion for helping people and we wish to continue that tradition.
The program has since been re-named the, Becky Klein Adult Care Program in Becky's honor, since the program was Becky's brainchild.
We have been getting extremely strong support from a huge group of family and friends, since Rebecca's murder.
For those who have asked, there will not be a funeral or service.
We are asking for donations in lieu of flowers.
There has been a fund established and the following is where you can send donations should you desire:
Becky Klein Adult Care Program Fund
c/o Fifth Third Bank
1N111 Country Farm Road
Winfield, IL. 60190
This fund will allow the center to prosper and hopefully grow. It will also give access for those who are less fortunate and cannot afford to attend.
It will “perpetuate” Becky while helping those who were such an important part of her life.
It turns what is certainly a tragedy in our lives into a more positive contribution to our well-being while helping those that Becky cherished.
We thank you for your outpouring of love and support. Obviously, it's going to take a long time to come to grips with this tragedy. Your support over the last few days has been and will continue to be one of the pillars that we will build our thoughts on. Thank you so much.
