Kenneth Hubert Thompson, 74, of McCloud died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta.

No services will be held.

Burial will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson was born Oct. 25, 1931, in Salida, Colo., and moved to Siskiyou County in 1997 from Redding.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, was an automobile mechanic and a member of the American Legion in McCloud.

Survivors include wife Alice; daughters Sherri Clegg of Reno, Terri DeFreze of Concord and Lori Lossman of Walnut Creek; stepsons David Wakefield of Virginia, Kent Wakefield of Carson City, Nev., and Brad Wakefield of Heidelberg, Germany; four brothers; and 13 grandchildren.
