Claribel D. Thompson, 92, of Sedalia, passed away Friday morning, July 23, 2010, at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove.

She was born June 25, 1918, in Georgetown, the daughter of Arthur Eldon and Ethel Bohon Baum. On November 24, 1938, in Sedalia, she married Homer Eldon Thompson, who died July 23, 2002.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed her family, gardening, cats, and playing the piano.

Surviving are a son, Leroy H. Thompson, of Sedalia; a niece, Dolores Wolf, and her husband, Jerry, of Otterville; and two nephews, Don Thompson, and his wife, Connie, and David Koeller, all of Sedalia.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Baum.

Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Mary Biesemeyer officiating.

Casket bearers were Don Thompson, Dave Koeller, Jerry Wolf, Lynn Middleton, Ron Hickam, and Sonny Kronk.
