Spot was my beloved little dog.
When he was born, he was all brown, and had one little white spot on his head. This was the reason that my son, named him, "Spot".
He was 14 years, 5 months, when he died. He is so greatly missed.
It seemed like I got closer with my pets, after my husband passed away, Mack Junior Foster. June 17, 2003.
I treated Spot, just like one of my kids. I always took him and our other dog Smokey, with me any time I went in the car. He loved to travel.
I have just one 22 year old son, so these 2 dogs, I would take with me, any time, I walked out the door and went in the car. They just loved to ride in the car.
When I would drive, he would sit on my lap and lay on my left arm while I drove the car.
He also had the habit where, he would always sit up and beg.
We never taught him this. This was just something, that he picked up himself.
In fact our other dog, Smokey, can't even sit and beg like Spot use to do.
He was perfectly healthy one day and then all of a sudden he suddenly fell ill with Pancreatice . Then after two days at the Emergency Vet( where they were not helping him at all, I transferred him over to my Regular Vet.
Spot went into Cardiac Arrest after he was at our Regular Vet. about 2 hours later.
The Vet. told me that they tried cpr, and tried working on him for about 10 minutes, but they could not revive him at all.
I took him to the Emergency Vet where he was at for 2 days. He had come down with Pancreatice . I had never heard of it before, but it is a very, very painful and normally fatil illness which is what happened to him.
He was never sick, except for his dental problems that he had twice and the Vet. pulled them out and then that solved his problem.
He was my shadow to me. Where ever you saw me, you saw him. He always followed me where ever I went. In fact at times I would trip over him, because he always wanted to be right beside me.
He loved to sit up and beg.
Everyone that saw Spot, got a kick out of him, because of the way, that he could sit up and beg.
Spot is truly loved and deeply missed.
Spot was a member of our family and he is truly loved and missed.
"For My Beloved Spot"
"Little did we know on that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
Sequel to Rainbow Bridge
Oh, when we get to Heaven
We hope that we will find
The Souls that once we loved
Who left us all behind.
Some left at the right time,
They left this world in peace.
Others left too sudden
Without the chance to say goodbye.
They were gone before we had
The chance to even cry.
There's a special place for grownups;
A special place for kids;
Me, I'll be on the other side -
The side called Rainbow Bridge.
Across the dark green meadow,
A-top the hills I'll run,
Where the colors from the Rainbow
Glitter from the sun.
And there I'll find my sweetheart
running fast toward me,
Into my arms where he belongs
FOR ALL ETERNITY!!
