Mrs. Rebecca S. "Becky" Simonton, 53, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Caruthersville, died Aug. 19, 1994 at Southeast Missouri Hospital. Born Sept, 21, 1940 in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of Clifford M. and Cecile Medlin Christian. She worked at Brown Shoe Co. and later as a legal secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Simonton of Cape Girardeau; Her mother, Mrs. Cecile Christian of Caruthersville; Two sons, Roger Wayne and John Robert "Bobby" Eledge, both of Caruthersville; A daughter, Sabra Lynn Creed of Caruthersville; Three brothers, Donald Leon Christian of Redlands, Calif., John W. Christian of St. Louis and Bill G. Christian of Emporia, Kans.; Three sisters, Wanda McCall, Brenda Darnell and Patricia Whitson, all of Caruthersville; And seven grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating.
