Animal Patriot. She was a skilled veterinarian and compassionate animal lover, whom used her talents to bring comfort to animals and to the people who loved them. From her Sweetwater Animal Shelter Clinic in Bonita, California, she thought nothing of getting up in the middle of the night and driving to any part of the county to ease an animal's suffering. Before moving to California in the early 1980s, Dr. Dobbs used to exercise racehorses for trainers on the East Coast, including renowned thoroughbred horse racing trainer Horatio Luro. In California, she served as program director and attending veterinarian at the Mesa College Animal Health Technology Program. She also worked at the Office of Veterinary Services and School of Medicine Department of Pathology at the University of California San Diego. She was well known as an activist in animal-rescue efforts specializing in dachshunds. She adopted them and placed them to homes as well as other dogs and animals. She was a credit to all creatures in the community, her mobile services featured a quote from Mahatma Gandhi: "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated". Cause of death due to the complications of uterine cancer.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
