Belva 'Abe' Metheney
NIMITZ - Belva Ann "Abe" McKinney Hatcher Metheney, 83, died 6:40 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 1999, in a Nimitz care home following a long illness.

Born July 12, 1917, at Ellison Ridge in Summers County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. McKinney and Melinda Birchfield McKinney.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, David C. Hatcher; her second husband, Friend Metheney; a son, Charles L. Hatcher; five brothers, Burl, Ray, Allen, Norval and Everette McKinney; and two sisters, Donnie Rakes and Bonnie McKinney.

Belva Ann McKinney was born on July 12, 1915 in Piney View, Raleigh County, WV according to her birth certificate. That makes sense since her brother, Norvell Emory, was born on May 20, 1917. Thank you/
