Jerry Lee Fadiga, 22, of 511 North 7th St. and a life-long resident of Centerville, died Saturday, June 28, as the result of a car accident north of Centerville.
He was born December 16, 1957, in Centerville, the son of Charles E. and Roberta Lee Benz Fadiga. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1976.
On July 16, 1977 he married Debora Sue Bitner at the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville. He was a construction worker and had been employed by Waldo Morris and Company.
Survivors include his wife Debora; a son, Dustin Ray Fadiga; his parents of rural route 4. Centerville; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Benz of Moravia. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Jane Craver of Cincinnati, Iowa; and four brothers, Jack of Centerville, Joe of route 4, Centerville, and Jeffrey and John at his parent's home.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Winifred Fadiga.
Services were Tuesday a 10:00 a.m. at the Miller-Wehrie Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Ballard officiating. Soloist was Max Ellis, who sang "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art", with Mary Ann Green, organist. Burial was in Dale Cemetery north of Centerville.
