He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Ward Sackett. On Father's Day, he joined his earthly father and also his Heavenly Father. A sister, Linda Carlene Gutirrez, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Betty L. Sackett; three sisters, Verna Lumpkin, Donna Corner and Debra Sackett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged in March, 1973. He worked for many years in construction for several companies.
Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, Missouri prior to his interment at a graveside service, including military honors, at 11:30 a.m. June 21, 2006, in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Walnut Shade, with Pastor Hosea Bilyeu officiating.
