Mina Edna Greiner, 82, of What Cheer, died Friday, August 30, 2013. As was her wishes, her body has been donated to Des Moines University for scientific study. No services are planned. Friends may sign the online guestbook.

Mina was born June 23, 1931 in Knapp, Wisconsin the daughter of Edward J. Olsen and Clara Johnson. On December 28, 1950 she was united in marriage to Edmund Greiner. To this union six children were born. Mina worked as a nurse at the Sigourney Hospital for thirty years before retiring. She lived in Sigourney for several years before eventually moving to What Cheer. Mina enjoyed painting, sewing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund; a daughter Jean and a son, Joe.

Mina is survived by two sons: Jim(Kay)Greiner of What Cheer and Jerry(Linda)Greiner of Sigourney; two daughters: Jane(Jerry)Denny of Keota and Jennifer(Lee)Short of Deep River; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Greiner of Sigourney and a sister Phyllis Fass of Florence, Wisconsin. Her memory will also be cherished by several grandchildren and great grand children.
