In September of 1959, he went to work as a payroll clerk for Bloom Builders. He retired from there in 1981, as the general manager. In retirement Leo worked various jobs and he enjoyed volunteering. He left us quietly, his thoughts unknown, but he left us a memory, we are proud to own. So treasure him Lord, in your garden of rest, for when on earth, he was one of the best. Dear Lord, take a message to Heaen above, tell him we miss him, and give him our love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother, Leland Denburger.

Honoring Leo's final act of generosity, his body has been donated to the University of Iowa so that others may benefit through medicaal research.
