Donald E. Batt died on Thursday January 17, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, CO.

Donald Eugene Batt was born in Loveland, Colorado to Henry and Margaret (Meintzer) Batt.
He attended school in Gilcrest, Big Bend and College High in Greeley. Mr. Batt was in the U.S. Navy stationed at Newport, Rhode Island aboard the U.S.S. Hunt from February 28, 1955 until November 27, 1957.

On September 4, 1962 he married Carol Joyce Tucker in Raton, New Mexico. He farmed with family before starting to work for J.R. Simplot in 1960. Mr. Batt then worked for various fertilizer companies until 1979 when we went to work for Low Level Aerial where he was employed until retirement. Mr. Batt was a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He was also a crop surveyor and a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors: His daughter, Deanna Batt of Greeley; three sons, Donnie Batt of LaSalle, Jeff Batt of Greeley, John Batt of LaSalle. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Megan Doyle and Erica Newby both of Anchorage, Alaska, Chris Batt and Danny Batt of Roswell, NM, Jeremy Reyes of Greeley; two Great-grandchildren, Regan and Addison Newby both of Anchorage; his mother, Margaret Martin of Greeley; a brother, Dean Martin of Greeley and a sister, Bernice Reider of Greeley.

Preceeded in death by: his wife Carol on May 29, 2006; his father in 1936 and a brother Delbert Batt.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Adamson Downtown Chapel 827 5th Street, Greeley.
