Married David Edwards October 15 1933
She told us her family was all raised on the chicken farm in Warriors Mark
Until the the 30s her family moved to Altoona.
She said her Dad and my Grandpap worked together at the railroad that is how they met. They Had 4 Children together
He died when I was young I never realy knew him just what I was told by herand Mom.
Grandma was a special lady she loved and adored all her grand children.
I can remember very special days that we had with he as we was young. She made cookie all the time we would there and there they were fresh out of the oven ready to eat.
My sister and I spent many nights with her "grandma sleep over" that was the best times. We would wake and off we would go we took the City bus to Gables department store and went shopping then from there back home again. She also taught us how to crochet and sew. She was the best.
She would take a old newspaper and make a doll dress pattern from it and show us how to sew it together. What a beauty they were. The material she would use was a old dress or duster that she was throwing away. Everything on the dress was used even the buttons.
She loved life as it was.
I also can remember my sister and I trying to tell her that she should marry the storekeeper next door from us she would just laugh at that comment.
She would tell us the funniest stories about the Chicken Farm.
She is missed and loved by all. And will always be in our hearts forever. There is no one that will ever take the place of our Special grandma.
