Emma Jean Lasche, 62, died June 21, 2002, in Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Laura Hinman Alvord.She was a deputy clerk for Accomack County General District Court and attended Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Lasche; two daughters, Leah Corbin Sturgis of Craddockville, Va., and Mea Corbin Payne of Newport News; two sons, Harry Alvord Corbin of Exmore, Va., and Christopher Bruce Corbin of Salisbury, Md.; a stepdaughter, Lisa Lasche of Texas; a sister, Sharon Downing; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Temperanceville, with Francis Hinman officiating. Salyer Funeral Home is in charge.
