MARY EVELYN CADBY

Mary Evelyn Cadby, 79, a longtime Pasco resident, went to Heaven on Wednesday, October 29, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mary was born on July 27, 1924, in Pendleton, Oregon, to August and Clara Buttke.
She graduated from Deaconess School of Nursing, Spokane, WA, with her RN degree, specializing in surgery.

She was an RN surgical supervisor at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, when she met Pat Cadby.
They were married on September 18, 1948. They moved to California for Pat to attend electronic communication school.

Mary worked as an RN at the Veteran's Hospital, retiring in 1953. They later moved to Pasco in 1956.

She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Master in Pasco.

Her interests included enjoying her grandchildren, sewing, reading and gardening.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Pat Cadby; daughter, Vickie Cadby, and grandson, Chad Cadby Lampe, of Moses Lake; son, Joe Cadby, and wife, Karen, and granddaughters, Kailey and Cortney, of Pasco; sister, Stella Kirkham, of Pendleton, OR; her furry companion, Max the Maltese; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; six sisters and son-in-law, Chuck Lampe.
Mary's husband, children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures. Her light and love will continue to shine through them.

She had a deep compassion for those in need and gave freely of herself.
Her faith and commitment to God was a vital part of who she was. We are at peace knowing she is with our Father in Heaven.

Private graveside services will be held at Pasco City View Cemetery with Pastor Michael Staudinger officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 5371, Seattle, WA 98105 or to the Make A Wish Foundation, 421 W. Riverside, Spokane, WA 99201.

Arrangements are in the care of Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, Pasco.
