Rohrer, Verona K. "Onie"

Verona K. "Onie" Rohrer, age 79 of Clintonville, passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Appleton Medical Center. "Onie" was born on September 1, 1925 in Wausau, WI, the daughter of the late Fred and Emilie (Buttke) Hoeppner. She was raised in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School. On September 22, 1945 "Onie" was united in marriage to Ivan D. Rohrer at St. Stephan's Lutheran Church, Wausau. The couple has lived in Clintonville all of their married life. "Onie" was a homemaker and loved getting together with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and with her friends for Friday night card games and Culvers.

She was a member of the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville where she taught Sunday School for 21 years, Bible School for 20 years and belonged to the C.L.C.W. Other activities included Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader and her special Sewing Club. Knitting was her favorite hobby.

Survivors include her husband, Ivan; three daughters: Kay Rohrer, Otsego, MN; Sue Rohrer, Clintonville; Beth (Pat) Gebert, Weston, WI; two son: David (Lois) Rohrer, Hartford, WI; Mark (Julie) Rohrer, Clintonville; nine grandchildren: Andy (Elizabeth) Rohrer, Holland, MI; Tim (Connie) Rohrer, Hartford, WI; Samantha (Jason) Dinville, Otsego, MN; Adam (Nikki) Rohrer, Elk River, MN; Katie (Jeremy) Bricco, North Charleston, SC; Krissy Zoch (fiance Richie Marthaler), Appleton; Amanda Gebert (fiance Jeremiah "Chris" Jones), Madison; Josh Gebert, Weston; Daniel Rohrer, Clintonville; four great-grandchildren: Jade Dinville, Jesse and Raegan Rohrer and Alexis MacKernan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2005 at the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville with Rev. Rick Pettis officiating and interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home, Clintonville and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the service.
