Donald E. Peterson, passed away Sunday, August 1. He had fought a brave battle with cancer over the past year and remained positive to the end. He will be missed by many.
Don began his career with FDA in Minneapolis as an Inspector in 1959 after service in the US Air Force. He worked in many different FDA offices with his last in Seattle. He came to Seattle as a Supervisory Investigator, and met his wife Carolyn here and they traveled extensively before and after retirement. Don was also a Program Analyst and then wrapped up his career as one of the best Compliance Officers. He retired in March, 1995.
Don donated his brain for research at the University of Washington and cremation is planned. No funeral or memorial service is planned. His widow, Carolyn Peterson, asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
