Passed Away At Age 48 In His Sleep.
Services for former Greensburg resident Robert J. Wright Jr., 48, Ft. Wayne, will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the E. Harper Funeral Home in New Haven, near Ft. Wayne.
Mr. Wright died suddenly Friday night at Ft. Wayne where he was active in leadership of the Eagles Lodge.
He was born in Greensburg Oct. 27, 1935, the son of Robert Wright Sr. and Catherine Shafer Wright. His father preceded him in death but his mother survives, residing at September Place in Greensburg. Also surviving is his stepmother, Mrs. Charles (Larene) Gray of Greensburg.
Other survivors include two brothers, Jerry Wright and Eddie Wright, both of Greensburg; four sisters, Mrs. Donald (Patricia) Foster, Mrs. Ernie (Marcella) Stephens and Mrs. Steve (Nancy) Olds, all of Greensburg, and Jackie Shafer of California.
Also surviving is his wife, Sharon, of Ft. Wayne, and five children, Mrs. John (Janet) Moyer of Florida; Mrs. Steve (Karen) Crone of Ft. Wayne, Robert J. Wright III, Ft. Wayne, and Ryan Kelly and Michael Steven Wright, both at home. Four grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by one son, Brian Keith, who died in infancy.
Friends may call at the E. Harper Funeral Home today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
