ROGERS — Stella May Morris, 95, of Rogers died Sept. 5, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1914, in Siloam Springs to Riley and Julie Buckner Bennett.
Survivors include four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery in Adair County, Okla.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
Stella May Morris, 95 year-old resident of Rogers, Arkansas, died September 5, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. Born July 9, 1914 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the Riley Bennett and Julie Buckner Bennett. Stella retired from John Brown University where she worked in housekeeping. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur Morris; her daughter, Ruby Watkins; her son, Leroy Todd; one grandson, Steve Evans; two sisters, Rena Deason and Della Edwards; and six brothers, Elmer Bennett, Willis Bennett, Robert Bennett, Hurcle Bennett, Alex Bennett and an infant brother.
Survivors include four grandchildren, Thelma Jean Welch of Siloam Springs, James Watkins of Lowell, Lynn Alexander of Rogers and Vicki Hearne of Gravette; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas with Mr. Kirk Hartness officiating. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery, Adair County, Oklahoma. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
