Edith Jean Bowman, 90, of Springdale, Arkansas, died October 10, 2009 at The Maples in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born April 20, 1919 at Wharton Creek, Arkansas, the daughter of Alfred and Ethel Combs Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale. She was the widow of James Todd and Roy B. Bowman. She was also preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers, Virgil A. Davis, Vernon Davis, Walter "Pug" Davis, Raymond Davis and three infant brothers.

Survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wilma and J. L. Patrick and Jimmie Lou Whorton, all of Springdale, Arkansas and Hazel and Charles Sanders of Springfield, Missouri; four grandsons, Todd Patrick, Brock Sanders, Jeff Whorton and Toma Whorton; four granddaughters, Jennifer Henderson, Sherri Pianalto, Tamrha Scalise and Kelly Young; seventeen greatgrandchildren, Kesha Henderson,Tanner Henderson, Kirby Jill Henderson,Brock Pianalto, Cole Pianalto, Zack Pianalto, Derrick Patrick, Jillian Patrick, Salvatore Scalise, Barrett Young, Carson Young, Brinkley Young, Ceely Young, Jack Sanders, Brody Sanders, Charlie Whorton and Shayle Whorton; and three great-grandchildren, Peyton Henderson, Jovin Pianalto and Baron Pianalto.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, October 13, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Russ Tyler officiating. Interment will be in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Whorton, Toma Whorton, Brock Sanders, Todd Patrick, Kenny Pianalto and Tanner Henderson
