A BIOGRAPHY OF ELI FAST, by Larry Overmire (great great nephew), Aug. 2008:

Eli Fast was born Sept. 6, 1811, probably in Greene County, Pennsylvania, the third of nine children of Martin and Catharine (Blosser) Fast. His family moved to Orange Township, Ohio, about 1814.

At the age of 24, on Feb. 19, 1835, in Wayne County (now Ashland County), Ohio, he married Margaret Berry, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Herring) Berry.

Eli was a farmer. He died at the age of 63 in Ruggles Township, Ashland County, on Sept. 11, 1874.
