PASSAGE. Lois Jones Dedrickson, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2001 of causes incident to age. She was born April 23, 1923 in Spanish Fork, Utah to David H. and Mary N. Jones. She married Ray Gilbert Dedrickson, June 23, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died November 9, 2000. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School and attended BYU and LDS Business College. She worked at Remington Arms factory, at Geneva Steel in the payroll department, and at Taylor Elementary School as their librarian. Lois was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in Primary, Young Women's Relief Society and the Stake Sunday School. Lois loved to travel, quilt, paint and sing. She belonged to the Singing Mothers, Lieurance Club, and the Choralettes. She shared her talents with all those around her. Most importantly, Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to gather her family for any occasion and attended countless baseball, basketball, golf games, recitals, and plays. Her grandchildren will remember her for her laugh and cheerful disposition. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Alan) Miner, Springville; Linda (John) Bingham, Spanish Fork; and David (Chris) Dedrickson, Layton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren; her older brother, Sterling Jones; and younger sister, Helen Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; one brother, Reed; and two sisters, Florence Roach and Blanche Sager. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and residents at Hearthstone Manor for their excellent care the last few months.
