Erma Beatrice Dehn, 96, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Eventide Convalescent Center. She was born on October 18, 1913, in Tecumseh, Kansas, to Clyde Earl and Jennie Olive (Morris) Bethell.
Erma married Glenn William Dehn on February 17, 1934, in Ottawa, KS. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1991.
She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, Oakland Rebekah Lodge 616 and Cum Joy Nus FCE.
Erma is survived by her children, Dick (Donna) Dehn of Overland Park, KS, and Jody (Russell) Hicks of Topeka; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and her special companion, Princess.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Bill Dehn, and two sisters, Myrna Johnson and Wilma Hull.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Dove Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Topeka Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service; casket will remain closed. Erma will lie in state, open casket, after 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, at the funeral home.
