Ipha Dela Roberts, 95, of Rogers, Arkansas, died December 2, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Born October 21, 1914, in Redstar, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Wesley Friend and Rebecca Collins Friend. She spent most of her life in Decatur, Arkansas, and was a farmer and housewife. Ipha was a member of the VFW Auxiliary – Decatur 9834. She married Arvin Roberts in Newton County, Arkansas, on April 18, 1937, and was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Decatur, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include three sons, Nolen Roberts and wife Joan of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Johnny Roberts and wife Donna of Noel, Missouri, Jimmy Roberts and wife Susan of Decatur, Arkansas; three daughters, Faye Trammell and husband Jim of Lowell, Arkansas, Sharon Redmond and husband Jerry of Rogers, Arkansas, and Charlotte Sykes and husband Leonard of Springdale, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and one brother, Andy Friend of Huntsville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Troy Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Tommy Peterson, Johnny Dale Roberts, Timmy Bachman, Anthony Griffin.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Mike Whorton, Kirk Anderson and Jerry Sadler officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2009, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
