Diane was born December 1, 1946 in Pineland, to parents; Calvin and Lurline Hall Weeks, a former resident of Crosby and Las Vegas, and has resided in Baytown for the past seven years. She was a graduate of the Hemphill High School, a former Crosby ISD bus driver, and a member of the Eagles Club and CASI. She also enjoyed chili cook-offs and cooking.
Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her father: Calvin Weeks, mother: Lurline Hall Weeks, and a grandson: Zachary Barker. She is survived by her husband of 14 years: James E. “JB” Barker of Baytown, sons: James Calvin Barker and wife Kristy of Dayton, Grady Barker and wife Jodie of Colorado, and Shawn Barker and wife Debra of Dayton, daughter: Joanna Spence Anderson and husband Perry of Las Vegas, grandchildren: Jonathan Gruner, Brittani Gruner, Jennifer Gruner, Shawna Barker, Hailey Barker, Kodi Casey, and Austin Barker, great-grandson: Justin Gruner, her beloved pets: Sadie and PK, and a host of other relatives and special friends.
Memorial services were held at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with services concluding thereafter.
