Funeral services for Edgar "John" Mann of Cordele will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services and the committal service will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Mann, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his residence. A native of Cordele, he was the son of the late Anderson "Pete" Mann and Ollie Lou Bokenhagen Mann. Mr Mann served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He was retired for Ford Motor Company and was a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
Mr Mann is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alberta Marshall Mann of Cordele; three children, Ron Mannof Cordele, and Jackie Cloutier and Kathy Blasinsky and her husband, Tom of of Taylor MI; his sibblings, Joan Wilkinson of Cordele and Rick Mann of Dearborn, MI; nine grandchildren, Linda Carlton and her husband, Mark, Dawn Keen and her fiancé, Roger, Paul Mann, Andi Vought, Donielle Mann, Tony Schultz and his wife, Liz, Dennis Schultz, Mandy Rohde and her husband, T.J., and Jason Mann and his fiancee', Penney; 11 great-grandchildren, Michael, Dennis, Kristin, Caidence, Aidan, Delilah, Jordan, Maddy, P.J., LIlly, and Kayla: and a number of nieces, nephews and family friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Mann and Dennis Mann and brothers, Charles "Preacher" Mann, Earl Mann and Bob Mann.
