Funeral services for Floyd Ervin Schnell, 80, of Tyler, MN were held Friday, March 21, 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tyler.

Officiant was Rev. Larry Wiederich. Organist was Michelle Wiederich. Special music was provided by the choir, singing "God is My Shepherd." Congregational hymns were "Rock of Ages," and "Amazing Grace."

Casket bearers were Robert Neale, David Smith, Axel Borresen, John Doescher, Ken Smith, and Brad Borresen. Interment was in Danebod Lutheran Cemetery, Tyler. Arrangements were by Tyler Area Funeral Home, Tyler; Tim E. Kulow and Nathan Stephens, Directors.

Floyd Ervin Schnell was born January 23, 1923 in Tyler, MN. to William and Johanna (Brown) Schnell. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater from 1944 to 1946 during W. W. II.

Floyd was united in marriage to Audrey Smith November 28, 1946 in Tyler, where they resided all of their married life. Floyd worked for Andy Heggestad in construction for many years, and owned the Sinclair Oil and Bulk Gas Service Dealership. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the American legion Post #185 of Tyler. He enjoyed coffee at the Standard Station in Tyler with his friends and also his friends in Lake Benton.

Floyd Ervin Schnell passed away March 17, 2003 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 80 years, one month and 24 days.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Audrey of Tyler; Leon and wife Shirley Schnell of Tyler; nephews Bob and Bill Schnell.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents: William and Johanna Schnell and nephews Tim Schnell.
