Jesse Joseph Noblitt, 57, and his son, James Lee Noblitt, 27, were both killed in a Washington plane crash.
Victims of the crash in a canyon 15 miles from Ellensburg, Wash., also included pilot Max K. Wall, 38, and Lindy G. Pecht, 28, both of Yakima, Wash.
Mr. Noblitt, who drove for Veterans Cab company in San Lorenzo, was in Washington with his wife, Lexie, on a vacation with his son who had recently married and moved from Hayward.
Both men were natives of Nebraska. The senior Mr. Noblitt, a resident of Hayward for the past six years, is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Erelene Traub, and Mrs. Jeanette Storety of Kodiak, Alaska. He was the brother of Dale Noblitt, Covina; Louis Noblitt, Ruskin, Neb., and Mrs. Mabel O'Leary, Los Angeles. He also leaves four grandchildren.
Mr. Noblitt was a member of the First American Baptist church of Hayward.
In addition to his mother and two sisters, the younger Mr. Noblitt leaves his wife, Mrs. Joanne Noblitt.
