Funeral services for Carl F. Sorgatz, 76, of 227 Fifth Ave. NE, Faribault, were held on Nov. 1 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault with the Rev. O. H. Cloeter officiating. Interment took place in the Concordia Cemetery in North Morristown. Pallbearers were Donald Glende, Albert Kuball, Emil Schmidtke, Herbert Schmidtke, Wilmar Schmidtke and Leo Schultz. Charles Rowland, organist, accompanied the Trinity Lutheran Sixth Grade Chorus. Carl F. Sorgatz was born on Oct. 30, 1894, to Carl and Ottilie Ballenthin Sorgatz in Shieldsville Township, Rice County. He was united in marriage on Nov. 5, 1919, in Warsaw to Dorothy Fruehbrodt. He was engaged in farming in Shieldsville Township and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Faribault Golden Age Club. Mr. Sorgatz, who passed away at the Rice County District One Hospital on Oct. 28, is survived by his widow, Dorothy; three daughters, Miss Selma Sorgatz of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Kalien of Faribault and Miss Shirley Sorgatz of Faribault; two sons, Harold Sorgatz of Morristown and Clarence Sorgatz of Faribault; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Erna Erdman of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Richard (Emma) Garbe of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Gerhardt (Bertha) Velzke of Owatonna; and by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Otto; and sisters, Mrs. Christ (Anna) Fuchs and Mrs. Albert (Augusta) Pommeranz. Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Denver, Colo.; Morristown; Milwaukee, Wis., Owatonna, Waterville, Kilkenny, Seymour-Johnson AFB, N.C.; Young American, Nerstrand, Mankato, St. Paul and Madison Lake
