Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lois and their five children, Gwyn (Christopher) Marquez , Skott (Mable) Goodwin, Erik Goodwin, Trent (Sandy) Goodwin, Heather (Chad) Greene; his eight wonderful grandchildren, Daniel and Ivy Beaugy, TJ Hinderliter, Andrew Greene, Jordan and Margaret Goodwin, Alexis Goodwin, Tristan Goodwin and one terrific great grandson, Liam James Beaugy.
Jim was a man of many talents who lived his life with grace, honesty and humor. He never met a stranger and was generous to a fault.
As a young man, Jim served his country in the United States Navy and the Air Force, which awakened in him a love of travel, history and a deep respect for knowledge. But of all of his achievements, his greatest was being a faithful and adoring husband and father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place also on Thursday, May 21 at 3:30 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.
Burial will take place at Citizens Cemetery in Flagstaff, AZ on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 3:30 PM. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 3 of Flagstaff.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
