Ruby Spear, of Clay Springs, Arizona passed away at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center early Monday, April 13, 2009. She was 74. Ruby was born on October 29, 1934 in Clay Springs, Arizona to the late Jesse Oliver & Melissa (Perkins) Davis. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary Organization of the church for 17 years. She loved to write poetry and play the violin.

She is survived by: "Father of Their 9 Children", John S. Spear; 9 children; David (Barbara) Spear, Daniel (Melissa) Spear, Johnny (Monty) Spear, Ronald (Charlene) Spear, Ava (Duke) Garvin, Nell (Bob) Petersen, Sonya (Jon) Nikolaus, Elizabeth Campbell, Sandi (Shane) Koury; 6 brothers & sisters; Johnny (Edith) Davis, Alice Davis; Betty Yarbrough, Kenneth (Hope) Davis, Bessie (Lyle) Bowler, Russell (Delores) Davis; 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 11:30 AM, Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Clay Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. at the same location. Interment will be in the Clay Springs Cemetery.
