Former students of Miss Ella Butler, Brackenridge High School teacher for 27 years, will gather at the San Antonio Public Library Thursday night to appoint a permanent committee to direct affairs of the Ella Butler Memorial Library Fund.
Since Miss Butler's death last November, many of her estimated 15,000 former students have participated in the fund drive, which seeks $5,000 for the purchase of library books. The fund was established by the Brackenridge High School Alumnae Assn. in cooperation with the public library.
Those attending the meeting Thursday will hear a tribute to the beloved San Antonio teacher by Pauline R. Kibbe, noted Texas author.
