George A. Fritz, 82, of Hampton Township PA died on Friday June 24, 2005 at UPMC - Passavant Hospital McCandless Township PA . He was born on Tuesday June 12, 1923 in Pittsburgh PA to the late George and Pearl (Soliday) Fritz. He was employed for 38 years by Duquesne Light as a hot sticker/ lineman until his retirement in 1983. He was a veteran who served in the US Marine Corp during WW II. Mr. Fritz was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richland Township PA.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn E. (Berzonski) Fritz. They were married on May 8, 1948. Also surviving: his son, Larry W. (Rachelle) Fritz of Valencia (Middlesex) PA; his son Gerald W. (Barbara) Fritz of Jeneatte, PA; his daughter, Nancy A. (Donald) Allen of Monroeville, PA; his daughter, Cynthia (Marty) Fleishaker of Pittsburgh PA; his sister, Pearl A. Fritz of Merritt Island FL; and his 10 Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Cleaver, Marge Loeffler, Shirley Fritz and his brother, Richard Fritz and his grandson Rudy Fleishaker.
Visitation will be on Saturday 7:00 till 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 2:00 till 4:00 and 7:00 till 9:00 PM at the Herbert R. King, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Route 8 at 2841 Woodland Circle, (Hampton Township) Allison Park, PA 15101 ( www.kingfuneralhome.com). Funeral Services will be held on Monday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday at 10:30 AM. Pastor Joel Benson will officiate. Interment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park with military honors.
