FUNERAL OF J.D. EVANS JR.

Young Man Who Died From Tetanus Will be Buried This Afternoon.

The funeral of J.D. Evans Jr. who died at the Columbia hospital early yesterday morning, will be held at the Washington Street church this afternoon. The pallbearers are as follows: A.E. King, G.H. Parks, G.P. Logan, Tom Murtiashaw, F.P. Perry, J.H. Faulk, D.W. Robinson, and A.P. Richardson.
The circumstances of Mr. Evans' death are particularly distressing. He was injured a few weeks ago in a runaway accident, his leg being broken. The injury was apparently improving, when on Tuesday last symptoms of acute tetanus, lockjaw, developed, resulting in his death. Mr. Evans had many friends and his death is received with regret.
