John Fadiga, 35, of Fredericksbury died Aug. 19, 1998, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital.
He was born Aug. 15, 1963, in Centerville to Charles and Roberta Benz Fadiga.
He graduated from Centerville High School in 1981. He graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville in 1983, attended NEMSU in Kirksville, Mo., for on year before graduating with a degree in education in 1986 at the University of Northern Iowa. He taught in the Fredericksburg Community Schools for the past six years. He also coached basketball and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Ducks Unlimited Chapter.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Jane Craver of Cincinnati; three brothers, Jack Fadiga and Joe Fadiga of Centerville and Jeff Fadiga of Numa; and his grandparents, Lee and Alberta Benz of Moravia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry and his grandparents, Joe and Winefred Fadiga.
The services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Centerville, the Rev. Jim Gubser officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. today at Lange Funeral Home in Centervaille.
A memorial has been established to Fredericksburg Community School, American Cancer Society or St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
