He was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on April 25, 1973, to Rose Martinez.
Kenny enjoyed listening to music, visiting with his friends and had a great sense of humor. He loved sports and had many trophies in wrestling and baseball for his accomplishments. Kenny was also known for his kindness to everyone he met. He will be sadly and greatly missed especially by his mother, brother and all his friends and relatives.
A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Stella and Moises Martinez and uncle: Gilbert Martinez.
He is survived by his mother: Rose Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M.; brother: Moses Lucero of Albuquerque; aunts: Mary Espinoza and family and Flora Urioste and husband Rueben all of Las Vegas; uncles: Steven Gutierrez and wife Lucy of Bernalillo and Candelario Gutierrez and Manuel Roybal and family all of Las Vegas; Fred J. Salas of Tecolote, N.M., who was like a father to him and very good friend; close family friends: John Gomez and family of Las Vegas and the Lucero and Morales Families; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Rosary devotional services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father C. John Brasher as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Tecolote Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers: Allen Killian, John Gomez, David Gomez, Gilbert Morales, Robert Espinoza and Steve Urioste. Serving as honorary bearers: Patricia Gallegos, Fred J. Salas, Troy-Allen Carrillo and other close friends.
He will lie in state at the Rogers Chapel on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and all day Sunday until 5:15 p.m. where family and friends may call.
