Harry Eugene "Gene" Allen, 83, of Paxton passed away on Saturday (April 2, 2011) at Carroll Hospice Dove Center in Westminster, Md.
He was born May 11, 1927 in Paxton to Loran H. and Dora Trotter Allen. He married Pattie "Mickey" Hook on Nov. 17, 1945 in Morganfield, Ky. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one son.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela R. (Leonard G.) Powell of Finksburg, Md.; one sister, Louise Winkel of Yarrington, Nevada; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
