Bishop N. Ramsey, 88 years of Monroe, MI passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at 7:15 AM at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH.
Bishop had been in poor health for 2 years. Bishop was born September 22, 1918 in Tazewell, TN the son of the late Albert Stephen and Della Mae (Standifer) Ramsey.
On January 29, 1960 Bishop married Alice E. Oswald in Las Vegas, NV. Sadly she preceded him in death on February 8, 2004.
Bishop worked as a Technician for Goodyear Aerospace in Litchfield Park, Arizona for 28 years retiring on September 29, 1979.
Bishop served his country in the US Navy. Bishop is survived by his beloved daughter and son in law Wanda J. (Dale R.) Duffey whom he made his home with in Monroe, MI, twin brothers Floyd and Lloyd Ramsey both of FL, 2 sisters; Beatrice Ownby and Pauline Matthews both of TN, 2 cherished grandchildren and 4 cherished great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents Bishop was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. There will no visitation or services, Bishop will be entombed next to his wife at Greenwood Memory Park in Phoenix, AZ.
