Mrs. Morse died Monday. She was born in Louisiana and had lived in Fresno for 61 years.
She was a volunteer with the Buttercups at Valley Children's Hospital, president of the American Legion Auxiliary, secretary of Church Women United and treasurer of the War Mothers Club. She helped form the Parent-Teachers Association at Columbia Elementary School and had been active in numerous community activities.
She was a member of the church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and belonged to the Ruth Circle Missionary and Usher boards.
Surviving are five sons, Charles of Fresno, Curtis, Wilbert and Marvene, all of Los Angeles, and John of Stockton; two daughters, Ezra Mae Hickman and Mattie Helen Gaines, both of Fresno; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
