Joye boy Stewart - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, in the Agee Funeral Home Chapel for Joye Boy Stewart 56, of Shafter, who passed away March 11, at North Kern Hospital in Wasco.

Reverend Sam Hensley of the Free Will Baptist Church officiated and interment followed in the Shafter Memorial Park.

Mr. Stewart was born in Vian, Oklahoma July 6, 1926. In 1936 he moved to Shafter. He was weigh master for the U.S. borax Co. He was also a veteran of WW11.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie, of Shafter; parents Mr. & Mrs. W.F. Stewart of Shafter; three sons, Jody Stewart and Jim Stewart of Washington, and Jack Stewart of Shafter; six step-children, LeRoy Bazzell and Charles Bazzell of Oklahoma, Kathryn Marquez of Upland, Paula Jean Lachner of Sacramento, Leora Keller of Brownsville, and Leona Crespin of Santa Ana.

Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Walt Keller, Tony Crestin, Jack Stewart, David Marquez, Wayne Crestin, and Michael Lackner.
