In 1903 the Mary Warren Home was established in honor of Mary Warren to care for indigent women and children. Originally it was in Mrs. Warren's home, located at 828 Green Street in Augusta, Georgia.

With the increase in need of a larger facility, the Mary Warren Home moved from 828 Greene Street to 2109 Central Avenue in 1915. This was a much larger home on property given by my great-grandmother, Marie Moore Greneker, who sat on the Board of Directors of Mary Warren Home for Widows. The new home was designed by G. Lloyd Preacher, noted architect of many buildings, hotels, homes and hospitals in Augusta, Georgia. It was a home for widowed women until the late 1970's.

Listed below are residents of the Mary Warren Home for Widows; who are currently buried in the home's cemetery plot at Westover Memorial Park. This plot was provided by my great-grandparents and is located adjacent to theirs.
