Obituary
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2008 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Mrs. Clarence Lormand, age 65, the former Mae Ann Castille, who passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. The Rev. Kevin Bordelon, Associate pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Lormand was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. She was a member of the Salvation Army's Home League, and was always willing to help others.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Clarence Lormand of Lafayette; two sons, Ronald Lormand and his companion, Jessica Vicknair of Lafayette, and Troy Lormand and his wife, Wanda of Maurice; three daughters, Jean Ardoin and her husband, Charles of Lafayette, Jeanine Vicknair Geisendorff and her husband, David of Lafayette, and Elena Lormand of Lafayette; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a son-in-law, Keith Vicknair of Lafayette; one brother, Charles Castille and his wife, Helen of Lafayette; and two sisters, Genevieve C. Mire of Lafayette, and Esther L. Castille of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Florent Castille and the former Marie Elena Thibodeaux; three brothers, Remy Castille, Florent Castille Jr., and James Castille; and one great-grandchild, Kayla J. Leger.
Pallbearers will be Florent Castille III, Kenny Vicknair, Travis Ardoin, Anthony Vicknair, Chase Vicknair, and Charles Ardoin. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ronald Lormand, Troy Lormand, and Keith Vicknair.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
