AGED RESIDENT IS CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Emma L. Glunt, aged 80, wife of Andrew J. Glunt of 1401 Sixteenth street, died at her home at 8.15 o'clock last night of ailments resulting from a fall nine weeks ago when she suffered a fractured leg.
She was born in Maddensville, Huntingdon county, on April 6, 1853, a daughter of Theodore and Diana (Ramsey) Ferrenburg, but had resided in Altoona for the past thirty-seven years.
On Aug. 1, 1875, she was united in marriage with Mr.Glunt, their sixtieth wedding anniversary being celebrated this year. Surviving are her husband, four daughters and seven sons, Mrs. Martha Pyles of Pittsburgh, Hollis A. Glunt of Three Springs, Huntingdon county, Roy A. Glunt, Mrs. Maude Wigand, R. B. Glunt, W. T. Glunt, W. F. Glunt, Miss Viola Glunt, Mrs. Lula Dodson, Clyde W. Glunt and Robert F. Glunt, all of the city. Thirty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lane of Huntingdon county, Mrs. Luella Murphy of Sproul and Judson Ferrenburg of Toledo, O., also survive.
Mrs. Glunt was a member of the Maddensville Church of God.
The body may be viewed after 6 o'clock this evening at the Tobias & Laughlin funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. Dr. Carey S. Thomas, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating.
Interment will be made in the Carson Valley cemetery.
