Richard L. Snyder, 70, of Polk RD 1, died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 1996, at Northwwest Medical Center in Frankin. Born April 15, 1926, in Akron, Ohio, he was a son of the late Lester L. and Grace Evelyn Kahn Snyder.

Mr. Snyder retired in 1985 as a chief lineman with Penelec after 38 years of service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Mr. Snyder was a member of Mount Carmel Church and the Senior Citizen Golf League. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Mr. Snyder was married April 28, 1947, to the former Donna L. Smith, who survives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen L. Redifer.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Walter "Bud" Anthony, pastor of Mount Carmel Church, officiating.
