Floyd Sampson, 88, of Millstone, Calhoun County, dies Tuesday evening in the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
He was born Sept. 11, 1875, at Orma, Calhoun County, son of the late Harvey and Dianna Cottrell Sampson.
He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are two sons, Homer Sampson, Millstone, and John Sampson of Cutler, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Verbal McKown, Spencer, and Mrs. Lizzie Butler, Orma; 12 grand children and a number of great grand children.
His wife, Mrs. Pricy Wayne Sampson, preceded him in death in 1960.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stump Funeral home, Grantsville, with the Rev. W.G. Schoolcraft officiating. Burial will be in the Upper Wayne Cemetery, at Beech.
