Served with Co. K 7th Florida Vol. Inf. C.S.A. During the Civil War of 1861-65
He Was Born in Yorkshire England and Came to the U.S. some time in 1853, He Went to live in Florida in 1855 and soon fell in love with the place and the People,
So when the Civil War Started He Enlisted with all his Friends into the 7th Florida Inf. CSA, To do his bit for this new born Confederacy he learned to love.
He served with his Regiment Until he was Captured on Dec.21 1864 Near Petersburg VA, He was sightly wounded at the time of his capture in the Right leg, He was then sent to Camp Chase Ohio were with out Proper Medical Attention Food and Shelter his wound soon became septic and Blood Poison quickly set in and on April 17 1865 (8 days After Lee Surrendered) He succumed to the poison in his veins and Died. And is now buried in The Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery Grave No. 1884. The Attached Ambrotype is Part of My Family History and was taken some time in early 1861.
